Social Events

The Trust Social Events - usually held four time a year are occasions for members to meet one another, make new friends and share common interests.  It is also an ideal opportunity for those thinking of becoming members to find out more about us.
Apart from our AGM (held in the Town Hall), all social events are held at the Wyvern Club on Church Walk and start at 7.15 for 7:30.  Our programme is detailed below - do put these dates in your diary.    
In his talk to our June meeting, Mike Rodd explained the changes that were being made to K&A Trust and the issues that it faces.  The probable change of status of British Waterways will inevitably impact not only on the Canal Trust but on the lives of all those who enjoy the benefits of the Canal itself.  He reiterated the need for all interested parties to continue to work hard in order to ensure that Devizes Wharf is developed in such a way that its role in the life of our town is enhanced.
Our Next Social will be on September 10th when

Helen Garside, Conservation Officer at Wiltshire Council,
will be speaking about the some of the major issues facing her and her team in Devizes and answering questions from the floor
