Coate Bridge application to go to the High Court

This is the last step in the Planning Process when the applicants will seek to prove that Eric Pickles decision was illegal. The argument, which will be heard in the High Court will be between the developers and HM Government and the Court's decision will not be based on what is good for Devizes, but rather whether the weight given by Mr Pickles to the emerging Neighbourhood Plan and local opinion was reasonable in law.
This is the last throw of the dice for the developers and, win or lose, the decision will not be subject to further challenge. Let us hope they go back to Glasgow empty-handed!
