Devizes Area Neighbourhood Plan - Legal Challenge

We have now had from Wiltshire Council the High Court’s decision on the application by MacTaggart & Mickel Homes Ltd to challenge the Devizes Area Neighbourhood Plan.
The Court has refused permission for the application to proceed. This was because, having considered the Council’s response to each of the grounds of challenge, the Judge did not consider that there was a reasonable prospect that the Court would grant a quashing order.
The Claimant has seven days in which to ask for this decision to be reconsidered at a hearing in open court.
Hopefully, M & M will not waste more money in challenging this decision which is great news for local democracy!
